Split system upkeep is crucial for optimum performance and may include cleaning, replacing components, or repairing the system to ensure it operates as intended. • Cleaning the Air Filter and Air Freshener is recommended every 2weeks for optimum efficiency. 

• Open the lid and extract the filter by slowly lifting upwards first and then towards yourself. 
• Unclip the small air freshening filter which is fitted to the extracted filter. Vacuum it or replace it with another one if necessary and then reclip it. 
• Reinsert the air filter and close the lid. 

• To prepare for extended non-operational period:  

• In case you plan not to use the system for an extended time, clean the indoor unit and filters as directed above. 

• Operate the system in fan mode for at least 8 hours so that the indoor unit dries completely. 
• Unplug and switch it off at the circuit breaker.  It is a good idea to remove batteries from the remote control as well. 

• After a long period of non-operation, it is suggested to check for any wire disconnections, leaks, and any blockages to air flow inlet and outlet.
