Origin of Bando  

Bando has developed into a major provider of conveyor belts and power transmission belts worldwide. It all happened because of the methods they use for producing rubber and elastomers. Their pioneering attitude has a long history that extends back to Japan's Meiji Period. Belts for power transmission played a bigger role as industrialization progressed and production machines shifted from manual to power drives.  

At the time, most transmission belts were imported and made of pricey leather. Engineer Naosaburo Bando believed that if a cotton belt could be made profitably, it would have a significant impact on the home industry. He established a business with Mitsuzo Enami's support after becoming dedicated to the creation and distribution of cotton belts. These two guys oversaw the creation of Bando and were tasked with promoting the use of cotton belts in-home businesses.  

Early on, Bando saw the potential of producing rubber belts, and ever since then, it has steadily launched new industrial belts.
