The mower is self-propelled, offers variable speeds (1.5 MPH – 3 MPH), and features a commercial grade steel deck. The brushless motor delivers up to 2,800 RPM for faster cutting. Quiet mode reduces noise by providing constant speed control at 2,300 RPM. A 3-in-1 design allows for mulching, bagging, or side discharge. The large 9” wheels have a replaceable rubber tread. The wheels feature steel ball bearings to provide a smoother drive with better maneuverability and increased durability. A single lever quickly adjusts the cutting height (1-1/4” – 4”). The lawn mower features IPX4 weather-resistant construction and exclusive Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™). XPT is a protective seal inside the tool and is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components.For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.
