Rescuing the refrigerant industry  

It all started back in 1987 when countries worldwide pledged to discontinue the use of substances that deplete the ozone layer. Then the process to manufacture a system that reduces the HFCs began in 2004 and continued until 2020 to find solutions to overcome limitations in HVAC efficiency. So, they produced R-22 while they do not contribute to ozone depletion but reduce the performance of HVAC systems and increased energy consumption by up to 30% depending upon the systems. Therefore, the whole idea is reversed as it backfired by putting a negative impact on the planet due to its increased electricity consumption.

Followed by a lot of experimentation, they came up with a formula known as TdX 20. This product reduces energy use by 5 to 25% and saves 15 to 18% of energy. It carries more heat at lower pressure, thus maximizing the use of the entire coil and minimizing system losses. The domino effect occurring in this refrigerant resulted in more productivity from the coil and less work from the compressor. As a result, the electrical consumption is less as compared to the inherent HVAC equipment. It serves to be a one-time investment because it saves on maintenance costs, and electricity bills and serves its purpose of being environmentally friendly.

• Leonardo DiCaprio, a well-known actor, and climate activist joined Bluon as an investor and advisor in the spring of 2017, which is evidence of the company's creative approach to combating global warming.
